About converting Word to PDF
Converting a .docx to PDF locks in the layout so it looks the same for everyone who opens it, regardless of their fonts or Word version — the usual reason to send a PDF rather than the editable document.

Common problems
- Fonts look wrong in the PDF
- The document uses a font your browser doesn't have, so a substitute was used. Embed the fonts when you save the .docx, or use common fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman).
- Page breaks moved
- Small reflow can happen because the browser's text layout isn't identical to Word's. For an exact match, use Word's own "Save as PDF" and then use PDFCure for anything else you need.
