About splitting a PDF
Splitting takes one PDF and produces several smaller ones — by page range, by a fixed chunk size, or one file per page. Use it to pull a single chapter out of a long report, to separate a batch scan back into individual documents, or to get a file under an upload limit by cutting it in half.
The split happens entirely in your browser: the original is parsed, the pages you choose are copied into new PDFs, and each result is offered as its own download (or bundled into a ZIP). The source file is never sent anywhere, and the pages that come out are byte-for-byte the same as they went in.

What format do I use for page ranges?+

Can I split a PDF into individual single-page files?+
Yes — enter each page number separated by commas (e.g. 1,2,3,4) instead of ranges, or switch to "Every N pages" and set it to 1.
Can I split a long document into equal chunks without typing out every range?+
Yes — switch to "Every N pages" mode and enter how many pages each file should have; the last file just gets whatever pages are left over.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
