About adding page numbers
Page numbers make a printed document easy to reference and reassemble if the pages get separated. This tool adds them to a PDF that was exported without them.
Choose the position, format (1, 1 of 20, Page 1), starting number, and which pages to skip, and the numbers are drawn onto the pages in your browser. The original text and layout are left as-is; the numbers are added on top.
How to Page numbers

Open the tool
Open the Page numbers tool and drop your file onto the page, or click to browse for it. Everything runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

Pick where the number sits and which number the first page starts from.

Click Apply and download the numbered PDF.

Can I start numbering from something other than 1?+
Yes — set 'Start numbering at' to any number, useful if this document continues from another one.
Can I skip the first page (like a cover page)?+
Not directly in this version — numbers are applied to every page starting from the number you choose.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
