About applying photo filters

Quick photo adjustments — grayscale, sepia, brighter, more contrast, more saturated — are usually a one-slider fix rather than something that needs a full editor. This tool applies common filters and adjustments to a photo directly in your browser.

Each filter is applied as a canvas image filter or a direct pixel-level adjustment — grayscale and sepia recolor every pixel by formula, brightness/contrast/saturation scale the relevant channel — and the result is exported as a new image. Everything runs on your device.

Supported files

Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP and other common images. Produces the filtered image in the same format.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Filters are applied entirely in your browser on a canvas — the image is never uploaded.

Photo Filters — frequently asked questions

What does 100% mean?+

For brightness, contrast and saturation, 100% is unchanged; below darkens/flattens, above boosts. For grayscale/sepia/invert, 100% is full effect.

Does it change the file format?+

No — it keeps the input format.

Is there a free way to apply grayscale or sepia to a photo?+

Yes — this tool applies the filter entirely in your browser, free and with nothing uploaded.

Can I combine more than one filter?+

Yes — adjust several sliders (brightness, contrast, saturation) together, or layer grayscale/sepia with a brightness change, before exporting.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
