About applying a filter to a video
Grayscale, sepia and invert are classic look-changing effects, applied here to every frame of a video rather than a single photo. A live preview on one frame lets you dial in the strength (0–200%) before committing to the full clip.
Each frame is decoded, drawn through the same CSS-filter pipeline used by the browser's canvas, and re-encoded — entirely in your browser with WebCodecs. Nothing is uploaded, and the same filter and strength apply uniformly across the whole video.
Supported files
Accepts MP4, MOV or WebM. Produces a matching video file with the filter burned in.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Filtering happens entirely in your browser with WebCodecs — the video is never uploaded.

- 1
Add your video

- 2

- 3
Apply and download
Click Apply filter; the video is re-encoded with the effect burned in.
Video Filter — frequently asked questions
Is my video uploaded anywhere?+
No. It's decoded, filtered and re-encoded entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
What filters are available?+
Grayscale, sepia and invert, each with an adjustable strength from 0 to 200%.
Can I preview before running the full conversion?+
Yes — the preview frame updates instantly as you change the filter or amount, before you commit to processing the whole video.
Does the filter apply to the whole video?+
Yes — every frame gets the same filter and amount.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
