About generating a signature image

Sometimes you need a signature as its own image file — to paste into a form field, drop into a document editor, or keep on hand for signing things outside a PDF workflow — rather than placed directly on a PDF page. This tool gives you exactly that: type your name in a handwriting-style font or draw it with your mouse or finger, and download the result as a transparent PNG.

Typed signatures render onto a canvas using a cursive web font; drawn ones are captured stroke by stroke as you write, the same signature-pad interaction used by the Sign PDF tool. Either way the background stays fully transparent, so the signature drops cleanly onto a white page, a colored background, or another image without a visible box around it. Everything happens on the canvas in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

It creates a signature image you can place on a document. Whether that meets legal requirements (like eIDAS or ESIGN) depends on your use case and jurisdiction — for most everyday documents it's fine.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
