About converting SVG to PDF

Turning a vector graphic into a PDF is useful for printing a logo or diagram at high fidelity, or embedding it into a document workflow that wants PDF rather than a raw image file.

The SVG is rendered onto a canvas at a high resolution and placed onto a PDF page with pdf-lib, entirely in your browser. Because the output is a rasterized image rather than the original vector paths, it won't stay infinitely scalable the way the SVG itself was — the render resolution is chosen high enough to stay sharp at normal print and screen sizes.

Supported files

Accepts SVG images. Produces a single-page PDF containing the rendered graphic.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Rendering and PDF generation both happen entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

SVG to PDF — frequently asked questions

Does the SVG stay vector in the PDF?+

No — the SVG is rasterized to an image at a high resolution during conversion, so the PDF contains a picture of the graphic rather than editable vector paths.

My SVG has no fixed size — what happens?+

SVGs without an intrinsic width and height are placed on a default page-sized canvas.

Is there a free way to convert an SVG to PDF?+

Yes — this tool. Conversion happens entirely in your browser, free and without an upload.

Is my file uploaded to convert it?+

No — the SVG is rendered and placed onto a PDF page entirely in your browser.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
