About batch processing PDFs

Running the same operation across a dozen files one at a time — compress each, or password-protect each — gets tedious fast. Batch takes any of 15 common single-file tools (compress, OCR, watermark, protect, rotate, and more) and applies your chosen settings to every file you add in one pass, delivering all the results together in a single zip.

Each file is processed independently using the exact same underlying function as its standalone tool page — nothing about the operation itself changes, only that it runs across a list instead of one file. Files run one after another in your browser, with live progress and a per-file status so you can see which succeeded and which failed, rather than waiting on a single all-or-nothing result.

Supported files

Accepts multiple PDFs. Produces a .zip containing each processed file, named to match the originals.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Every file is processed entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, even when you're running dozens of files through the same batch.

How to Batch Process PDFs

  1. 1

    Open the tool

Open the Batch Process PDFs tool and drop your file onto the page, or click to browse for it. Everything runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Pick an operation and files

Choose one action — compress, OCR, watermark, protect and more — then add all the PDFs to run it on.

  3. 3

    Download the batch

Click Process and download every finished file together in a zip.

Batch Process PDFs — frequently asked questions

Are my files processed one at a time or all together?+

One at a time, in order — this keeps memory use manageable for large batches, and means a slow or huge file won't stall the ones after it any more than it would on its own.

What happens if one file fails?+

It's marked as failed with the reason (e.g. a wrong password for Unlock), and the rest of the batch keeps going. Only the successful files are included in the download.

Can I use a different password for each file when unlocking?+

Not in one batch run — the same password is tried against every file. Files locked with a different password will fail and need to be unlocked individually instead.

Can I compress or watermark many PDFs at once for free?+

Yes — add multiple files and apply the same action to all of them in one pass, free and downloaded together as a zip.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
