About cropping a PDF
Cropping trims the visible margins of a page — to remove scanner borders, cut a slide's whitespace, or focus on one region of a large drawing — without deleting the underlying content.
You draw the crop area and the tool adjusts each page's crop box in your browser. Because it changes the visible boundary rather than removing data, a crop can be widened again later. The file is never uploaded.

Can I crop each side by a different amount?+
Not currently — this tool trims an equal percentage margin from all four sides at once.
Does cropping delete the trimmed content permanently?+
It sets a new crop box, which is what PDF viewers and printers respect — but the original content technically remains in the file's data. For truly removing sensitive content, use Redact instead.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
