About adding a watermark

A watermark stamps text like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, or a company name across every page — a visible signal about how a document should be treated, and a mild deterrent against casual reuse.

You set the text, position, size, rotation, and opacity, and PDFCure draws it onto each page in your browser with pdf-lib. The stamp becomes part of the page content in the new file. Because the tools run locally, the document you're marking is never uploaded.

How to Watermark

  1. 1

    Open the tool

Open the Watermark tool and drop your file onto the page, or click to browse for it. Everything runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Set your watermark text

Type the text, then adjust the size, angle, colour and opacity.

  3. 3

    Apply and download

Click Apply to stamp it across every page and download the PDF.

Watermark — frequently asked questions

Can I add an image watermark instead of text?+

Yes — use the separate Image Watermark tool for a logo or photo instead of text.

Will the watermark appear on every page?+

Yes, it's applied uniformly across the whole document.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
