About adding a cover page to a PDF
A cover page — a title, a subtitle, or a full-bleed image — gives a document a proper front matter page before the content starts, the kind of thing a report or a proposal usually has and a quick export from another tool often doesn't. This tool prepends one to an existing PDF without touching anything after it.
It builds a new first page sized to match the rest of the document, places your title and subtitle text (or a full-page image) on it with pdf-lib, and inserts it ahead of the existing pages — entirely in your browser. The rest of the document is copied through untouched.
Supported files
Accepts a PDF, plus optional cover title/subtitle text or an image. Produces the same PDF with a new cover page at the front.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The cover page is built and inserted entirely in your browser with pdf-lib — nothing is uploaded.

Add Cover Page — frequently asked questions
Can I use my own designed cover?+
Yes — export it as a JPG or PNG and add it as the cover image; the typed title is optional.
Is there a free way to add a cover page to a PDF?+
Yes — this tool builds and inserts the cover page entirely in your browser, free and with nothing uploaded.
Can I use a title and subtitle instead of an image?+
Yes — type a title and optional subtitle and they're placed on a new first page, or use a full-page image instead.
Is my file uploaded to add the cover?+
No — the cover page is built entirely in your browser with pdf-lib.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
