About converting EPUB to PDF

An EPUB e-book reflows to fit whatever screen it's on, which is exactly what makes it awkward to print or read the same way twice — a PDF has fixed pages instead. This tool converts an EPUB file into a PDF you can print, annotate, or read in any standard PDF viewer.

The EPUB (itself a zip archive of HTML chapter files) is unpacked and its chapters are read in order, assembled into one styled HTML document, and converted to a paginated PDF using jsPDF and html2canvas — entirely in your browser. Text, headings and basic formatting carry over; an EPUB with complex embedded layouts or interactive elements will render more simply, as plain paginated text.

Supported files

Accepts an .epub file. Produces a paginated PDF with the book's chapters in order.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Unpacking and conversion both happen entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

EPUB to PDF — frequently asked questions

Are images and fonts kept?+

No — chapter text is extracted and re-flowed. Embedded images and custom fonts are dropped for a clean, printable result.

Does this work on DRM-protected books?+

No. EPUBs with DRM can't be opened by any browser-based tool.

Is there a free way to convert an EPUB e-book to PDF?+

Yes — this tool extracts and paginates the chapters entirely in your browser, free and with no upload.

Does it keep the table of contents?+

Chapters are laid out in reading order, but the EPUB's clickable navigation isn't rebuilt — use Add PDF Bookmarks afterward if you want a clickable outline.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
