About filling PDF forms

Many official PDFs have interactive fields — text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns. This tool detects them and lets you fill them in directly in the browser, then save a completed copy.

The form is loaded with pdf.js and pdf-lib locally, your entries are written back into the field values, and you download the filled file. If a form turns out to be flat (just a picture of a form), use the Add Text tool to type on top of it instead. Nothing you enter is uploaded.

Open the tool

The tool detects the PDF's own form fields — type into the text boxes, tick the checkboxes and choose from the dropdowns.

Why does it say there are no fillable fields?+

Not every PDF that looks like a form actually has real form fields — many are just a scanned image or flat text made to look fillable. Use Add Text to PDF to type onto one of those instead.

Does this work with checkboxes and dropdowns, not just text?+

Yes — text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, option lists, and radio buttons are all supported, each shown with the right control on the page.

What does "lock the form" do?+

It flattens the form: your answers get baked permanently into the page and the fields are removed, so the result can't be edited further — useful for a final, submission-ready copy.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
