About adjusting brightness, contrast and saturation

A slightly dark, flat or washed-out clip is often fixable with one adjustment at a time: brightness, contrast or saturation, each from 0–200% with a live preview before you run the full video.

Every frame is decoded, adjusted with the same CSS-filter pipeline the browser's canvas uses, and re-encoded — entirely on your device with WebCodecs. This tool applies one adjustment per pass; to combine two, run the output back through for the second one.

Supported files

Accepts MP4, MOV or WebM. Produces a matching video file with the adjustment baked in.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Adjusting happens entirely in your browser with WebCodecs — the video is never uploaded.

How to Adjust Video

  1. 1

    Add your video

Drop in the video whose brightness, contrast or saturation you want to adjust — it's read in your browser, never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Adjust brightness, contrast or saturation

Pick which one and drag the amount slider — the preview updates instantly.

  3. 3

    Apply and download

Click Adjust video; the change is baked into a new file.

Adjust Video — frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?+

No. It's decoded, adjusted and re-encoded entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

What can I adjust?+

Brightness, contrast and saturation, each from 0 to 200% (100% is unchanged).

Can I preview before running the full conversion?+

Yes — the preview frame updates instantly as you drag the slider, before you commit to processing the whole video.

Can I combine adjustments, like brightness and contrast together?+

One at a time per run — apply brightness, download, then run the result back through for contrast.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
