About inspecting PDF links
A long PDF can accumulate dozens of hyperlinks — citations, cross-references, a table of contents pointing to internal pages — and there's no quick way to see them all at once inside a normal reader. This tool lists every link in the document with the page it's on, so you can audit them before publishing or check whether a specific reference actually points where it should.
It walks each page's annotation objects with pdf-lib looking for link annotations, and reads out the destination — an external URL, or an internal jump to another page — alongside the page number the link sits on. It's a read-only listing; nothing about the PDF changes.
Supported files
Accepts a PDF. Produces an on-screen list of every link and the page it appears on.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Links are read directly out of the PDF's own structure entirely in your browser with pdf-lib — nothing is uploaded.

PDF Link Inspector — frequently asked questions
Does it find internal links too?+
Yes — links that jump to another page in the same document are listed as 'internal'.
Can I check the links are alive?+
Not automatically — the tool lists them; click each to test it.
Is there a free way to list every hyperlink in a PDF?+
Yes — this tool lists every link entirely in your browser, free and with nothing uploaded.
Does it distinguish internal links from external ones?+
Yes — a link that jumps to another page in the same document is listed separately from one pointing to an external URL.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
