About converting SVG to PNG

SVG is a vector format — ideal for logos and icons that need to scale, but unusable wherever only raster images are accepted (some CMS image fields, certain platforms, older software). This tool rasterizes an SVG into a PNG at a resolution you choose.

The SVG is rendered onto a canvas at your chosen output size and exported as PNG with transparency preserved, entirely in your browser. Since the output is pixels rather than vector paths, pick a size large enough for how you'll actually use it — you can't scale a rasterized PNG back up without blurring.

Supported files

Accepts SVG images. Produces a .png image at your chosen resolution, with transparency preserved.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The SVG is rendered to a canvas and exported as PNG entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

SVG to PNG — frequently asked questions

Is the file uploaded?+

No — the SVG is decoded and re-encoded as PNG entirely in your browser.

Any quality loss?+

No pixel loss beyond the rasterization step itself — PNG stores the rendered result losslessly.

Is there a free SVG to PNG converter online?+

Yes — this tool rasterizes the SVG as PNG entirely in your browser, free and with nothing uploaded.

What resolution is the output?+

The SVG's natural width and height by default — for a larger export, scale the SVG's viewBox up first.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
