About converting a PDF to BMP
For the occasional workflow that specifically needs BMP — an older application, a specific print pipeline — this tool exports every page of a PDF as an uncompressed BMP image.
Each page is rendered to a canvas with pdf.js at your chosen resolution and exported as BMP — entirely in your browser. Expect noticeably larger files than PNG or JPG output, since BMP doesn't compress the image data at all.
Supported files
Accepts a PDF. Produces one .bmp image per page, zipped together for a multi-page document.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Each page is rendered and exported as BMP entirely in your browser with pdf.js — nothing is uploaded.

PDF to BMP — frequently asked questions
Why is the download large?+
BMP is an uncompressed format — expect large files. Use PDF to PNG or PDF to WebP if size matters.
Is there a free way to export PDF pages as BMP?+
Yes — this tool renders and exports each page entirely in your browser, free and with no upload.
Why is BMP such a large file compared to PNG or JPG?+
BMP stores every pixel with no compression at all, so it's always the largest of the export options — pick PNG or WebP instead if size matters.
Is my file uploaded to convert it?+
No — each page is rendered and exported as BMP entirely in your browser with pdf.js.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
