About upscaling an image
Enlarging a small image for print or a bigger display usually just stretches and blurs it — this tool does a cleaner version of that same idea, scaling a photo up 2×, 3× or 4× with smooth, high-quality resampling so the result looks as sharp as a simple resize can make it.
It resizes in doubling steps using the canvas's high-quality image smoothing, with a touch of added contrast on the final step to read as slightly crisper — entirely in your browser. This is worth being honest about: it's a smooth resize, not AI super-resolution, so it can't invent detail that isn't in the original. For genuinely reconstructing fine detail lost at low resolution, dedicated AI upscaling tools go further than what a client-side canvas resize can do.
Supported files
Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP and other common images. Produces the same image enlarged 2×, 3× or 4×.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Upscaling happens entirely in your browser on a canvas — the image is never uploaded.

Upscale Image — frequently asked questions
Is this AI upscaling?+
No. It's a high-quality bicubic resize with light sharpening — it enlarges cleanly but can't add detail that isn't there. True AI super-resolution needs a large model.
Best use?+
Making a small logo or graphic bigger, or bumping a photo up a size for print. A very low-res photo won't become sharp.
Is there a free way to enlarge a photo 2x, 3x or 4x?+
Yes — this tool enlarges the image entirely in your browser, free and with nothing uploaded.
Is my file uploaded to upscale it?+
No — the resize happens entirely in your browser on a canvas.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
