PDFCure

A free TinyPNG alternative

A free TinyPNG alternative for image compression — no 20-image session cap, no upload.

TinyPNG is a fast, focused image compressor, but the free web tool caps you at 20 compressions and 5MB per image per session, with format conversion (to WebP, AVIF and similar) limited to just 3 per session. Files are uploaded to TinyPNG's servers and kept for up to 48 hours before deletion.

PDFCure's Compress Image re-encodes images at a lower quality entirely on your device — no per-session cap, no file-size ceiling beyond what your device can handle, and nothing is uploaded.

For compressing more than a couple of images in one sitting, or anything larger than 5MB, that removes the wall you'd otherwise hit.

Where TinyPNG does more: TinyPNG's compression algorithm is excellent and widely used by developers through its API for production image pipelines — that server-side, high-volume use case is a different problem than the one-off compression PDFCure is built for.
