Drop in the watermarked PDF — it is processed entirely in your browser.

  2. 2

    Remove

Click Remove watermark; watermark and stamp annotations are stripped and watermark layers are hidden.

  3. 3

Remove Watermark from PDF — frequently asked questions

Which watermarks can this remove?+

Watermarks and stamps that a PDF tool added as an annotation or as an optional-content layer — which is how most 'add watermark' features and 'sample'/'confidential' stamps work.

It says no watermark was found — why?+

The mark is drawn directly into the page's content, or it's part of a scanned page image. Those can't be lifted out without re-creating the document; cover them with the Redact tool instead.

Is my PDF uploaded?+

No. The whole operation runs in your browser with pdf-lib — nothing is sent to a server.

Will removing the watermark also remove my comments?+

It targets watermark and stamp annotations and named watermark layers. Ordinary highlights and notes are kept.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
