What can I draw on the page?+
Freehand pen and highlighter strokes, straight lines, arrows, rectangles, ellipses, and numbered sticky notes with their own text — each in the color and stroke width you pick.
How is this different from Highlight PDF?+
Highlight PDF is focused on translucent highlights over text plus comments. Annotate PDF adds freehand drawing, arrows, lines, and shapes — the full markup toolkit for reviewing or marking up a document.
Are these real, toggleable PDF annotations?+
No — every mark is drawn directly into the page's content, like the other stamping tools here. It shows everywhere the PDF is opened, but won't appear in another app's separate "comments" panel and can't be switched off later. Keep your original file if you might need a clean copy.
Does the file get uploaded anywhere?+
No — the PDF is rendered and edited entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can I undo a mistake?+
Yes — Undo removes the last mark on the current page, and Clear page removes them all. Sticky notes also have their own delete button in the list below the page.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
