HEIC to PDF — frequently asked questions

Why can't I use the regular JPG to PDF tool for my iPhone photos?+

iPhones save photos as HEIC/HEIF by default, a format most browsers can't decode natively. This tool converts each photo to JPEG in your browser first, then builds the PDF the same way.

Does this upload my photos anywhere?+

No — the HEIC decoding and PDF assembly both happen entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

What about Live Photos or burst shots saved as HEIC?+

Only the first frame is used — Live Photo motion and extra burst frames aren't included in the PDF.

Can I mix HEIC photos with regular JPG or PNG files?+

Not in this tool — add only HEIC/HEIF files here. To mix formats, convert your HEIC photos first, then use JPG to PDF with all of them together.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
