PDF Viewer — frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded to view it?+
No — the PDF is opened and rendered entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works offline once the page has loaded.
Can I edit the PDF here?+
This is a viewer only — scroll, zoom, and rotate the view. For changes, use one of the editing tools and open the result here afterwards.
Why is a large PDF slow to open?+
Every page is rasterized locally, which takes a moment for long or image-heavy documents. Pages appear as they finish rendering rather than all at once.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
