Add QR Code to PDF — frequently asked questions

What can the QR code link to?+

Anything encodable as text — a URL, an email address, plain text, or a phone number. It's generated and placed entirely in your browser.

Will the QR code still scan after resizing or rotating it?+

Yes — it's generated at high resolution up front, so shrinking or rotating it on the page doesn't affect whether a scanner can read it. Very small sizes can still be hard for a phone camera to focus on, though.

Can I edit the QR code after generating it?+

Not the content — remove it and generate a new one if the link or text needs to change.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
