Open the tool

Type text into any of the six header and footer slots; use {n}, {p}, {date} or {filename} for values that change per page.

What tokens can I use?+
Type {n} for the current page number, {p} for the total page count, {date} for today's date, and {filename} for the file's name. Anything else is printed as-is.
Can I have different text on the left, center, and right?+
Yes — the header and footer each have three independent slots (left, center, right). Fill in only the ones you need.
Can I keep the header and footer off the cover page?+
Yes — tick 'Skip the first page' and page one is left untouched, while {n} still counts it unless you change the start number.
Is this different from the Page Numbers tool?+
Page Numbers just drops a number in one spot. This tool adds arbitrary header and footer text in up to six positions, with tokens for numbers, dates, and the file name.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
