QR Code Generator — frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?+

No. The QR code encodes your content directly — there is no redirect or tracking link — so it works forever and offline.

Is my data tracked?+

No. The code is generated in your browser and the content is never sent to a server. There is no analytics on the code.

PNG or SVG?+

PNG for putting into a document or email. SVG for print or anywhere it needs to scale to a large size without blurring.

How much text fits in a QR code?+

Up to a few thousand characters, but smaller is better — long content makes a dense code that is harder to scan. For links, keep the URL short.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The only exception is the AI tools, which send the extracted text (not the file) to Claude to do their work.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
