Batch Process PDFs — frequently asked questions

Are my files processed one at a time or all together?+

One at a time, in order — this keeps memory use manageable for large batches, and means a slow or huge file won't stall the ones after it any more than it would on its own.

What happens if one file fails?+

It's marked as failed with the reason (e.g. a wrong password for Unlock), and the rest of the batch keeps going. Only the successful files are included in the download.

Can I use a different password for each file when unlocking?+

Not in one batch run — the same password is tried against every file. Files locked with a different password will fail and need to be unlocked individually instead.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
