Add Text to PDF — frequently asked questions

How is this different from Add Image to PDF?+

This types real, selectable text using a standard font, rather than placing a picture. Use it for filling in a blank on a form, adding a note, or a caption.

Can I add more than one block of text?+

One block per pass — run the tool again on the result to add another, positioned wherever you like.

Does it support every language and character set?+

It uses a standard Latin font, so it covers English and most European languages well. Characters outside that (e.g. Chinese, Arabic, Devanagari) aren't supported yet.

Do you upload my files to a server?+

No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.

Is there a file size limit?+

There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
