Are these real PDF bookmarks?+
Yes — they're written into the document's outline, so they show up in the Bookmarks/Outline panel of Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and other viewers, and each one jumps to its page.
Can I nest bookmarks?+
Yes, one level deep — indent a bookmark and it becomes a child of the top-level bookmark directly above it, so you can build a chapter/section structure.
What happens to bookmarks the PDF already has?+
They're replaced by the list you build here. If you need to keep the existing outline, this tool isn't the right fit yet.
Does it add a visible table of contents page?+
No — it only adds the navigation panel outline, not a printed contents page inside the document.
Do you upload my files to a server?+
No — every tool here processes your files entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The AI tools that used to send extracted text to a server are currently disabled.
Is there a file size limit?+
There's no artificial limit we impose, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (500+ MB or 1,000+ pages) are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.
